Angel Tree Donations by Employees Increase This Year

 The Angel Tree at St. Croix Tissue and Woodland Pulp was both colorful and overflowing this Monday morning. 752 tags were picked off the Angel Trees around the mill and filled by employees for local children.  This is up almost 200 tags from last year.  As we know, 2020 has brought many unexpected financial struggles for many in the area and mill employees responded with additional generosity this year.  The gifts will be delivered to students at schools in Baileyville, Princeton and Topsfield in hopes of  helping these children have a merrier Christmas this year. We appreciate the heartfelt generosity and care shown by our employees and are proud of their efforts.

The Growing Tissue Paper Industry

“In an industry where most grades of paper are facing slack demand, tissues are one of the few specialties where sales are actually climbing,” says John Williams, president of the Maine Pulp and Paper Association (as quoted in the Portland Press Herald, 3/12/14)
