St. Croix Tissue and Woodland Pulp represented at United Steelworkers Health, Safety and Environment Conference
The annual United Steelworkers Health, Safety and Environment Conference was held Sept 9-13 at the David L Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. St. Croix Tissue and Woodland Pulp sent nine employees, representing both hourly and salary positions in the mill. Over 1600 participants spent the week hearing from industry leaders about how to improve safety culture and better utilize joint safety committees to work for the benefit of all employees. Participants were able to choose from several different workshops each day on topics that were applicable to their facilities. The attendees from St. Croix Tissue (SCT) presented some of the information they learned to the SCT joint safety committee on Thursday Sept 19th.
